The Umina Recreation Area is due to open in 2010 and is a great addition to Umina Beach. The park is located at the entrance to Ocean Beach Holiday Park.

The precinct will include a new playground, all ages fitness equipment, park furniture (BBQ's, seating, tables, shelters, drinking fountains), outdoor lighting, pathways/cycleways, landscaping and bush regeneration, a Café with public amenities, tennis facility upgrade, Umina clubhouse upgrade, car park upgrade and other landscaping enhancements.

"The $4.3 million Peninsula Recreation Precinct project is one of the largest outdoor recreation developments to be undertaken within the Gosford Local Government Area and has received over $3 million in funding from the Australian Government under the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program", said Clr Holstein.

"In addition to providing state of the art sporting facilities for the Gosford City community, the Precinct offers a variety of health, socialisation and recreation opportunities and local businesses will benefit from increased visitation to the area, which will create a positive flow on effect for the entire community".

Ocean Beach Holiday Park is now providing all linen (blankets, sheets, bath towels only) in our Playground Cabins and Sunset Villas.  This allows you more space for the important things like bikes and scooters!

You'll be delighted to know that there's no longer a charge for our BBQs here at Ocean Beach!  There are 6 different BBQ areas scattered around the park for you to enjoy with a number of picnic tables.  The BBQ at Sunnyside now has the added benefit of a sink with hot and cold running water for washing up.
